Mrs, Kercheval has been with CCS as a parent for many years. She started teaching part-time in 2017 and then full-time in 2018. She and her husband have four children. Mrs. Kercheval is currently the Sports Booster chair and also serves as a member of the school board.
Miss Erskine has a Bachelor's degree, plus additional training inElementary Education/Psychology from Salisbury State College. She has over 35 years experience in teaching K-5th grades in both public and private schools. In her free time, Miss Erskine enjoys spending time with her family.
Mrs. Ford is married and has two children and 1 grandchild. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching at CCS since it opened in 1999. In her spare time, Mrs. Ford enjoys gardening, reading, shopping, and going to the beach. She also enjoys listening to Christian music.
Mrs. Frank is a reading specialist, resource and library teacher at CCS. She received her Bachelor's Degree in English with an Emphasis in Teaching 7-12. Additionally she hold a Master's degree in the Science of Reading for K-12, which she earned at Old Dominion University. In the past, Mrs. Frank has taught seventh and eighth grade reading in Norfolk Public Schools in Virginia. She has been a classroom teacher, a resource teacher, a department chair and a presenter in national reading conventions. Mrs. Frank has been at Chesapeake Christian since 2016. Mrs. Frank has been married to the love of her life, Matthew, since 2003. Together they have three amazing children who all attend CCS. For enjoyment, Mrs. Frank enjoys reading, sitting in her car, watching her kids' lessons, traveling back and forth, and having adventures of a lifetime in the everyday setting of home!
Mrs. Griffin and her husband, Rev. David Griffin have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Mrs. Griffin earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She has taught for many years including a time at Wesleyan Christian School. Mrs. Griffin has been with CCS since 1999, except for a few years when her husband's ministry took them to New Jersey.
Mr. Hayman graduated from Easton High school and then attended Morgan State University where he received Bachelor of Science degree. He has been teaching for 42 years. He and his wife Karen live in Talbot County. Mr. Hayman enjoys gardening, collecting boats, ships and lighthouses. Additionally, he enjoys reading the Bible and sharing the Good News, listening to Christian music, traveling with his family, and watching sports (both live and televised).
Miss Hickman currently attends New Life Wesleyan Church in Greensboro where she is the Children's Ministries Director. She is a graduate of Salisbury University and has been teaching for "gasp" 31 years. She enjoys spending time with her parents, niece and nephews, brother and sister-in-law, and her 2 sisters and their husbands. She also enjoys spending time with her church family and friends. Miss Hickman likes to read and watch TV and enjoys pasta and dark chocolate.
Mr. Liggitt graduated from Northampton High School in Northampton, PA. Following graduation, he attended Indiana Wesleyan University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has been teaching since 1981. From 1981-2007, Mr. Liggitt taught 4th -12th grade Math at Wesleyan Christian School. From 2007-2010, he taught 9th-12th grade math at Warner Christian Academy in Florida and since 2010, he has been with CCS teaching 7th -12th grade math. When not being mathematical, Mr. Liggitt enjoys fishing, reading, and watching students participate in various activities.
Mrs. Skirka and her husband, Gary, have 2 children. Mrs. Skirka graduated from Neshaminy High School and she received a Bachelors in Education from Holy Family University. Mrs. Skirka also spent time in the United States Army Medical Corps and she is a licensed practical nurse. Mrs. Skirka has been with CCS since 2012. She has many hobbies and outside interests. They include visiting state and national parks and hiking; listening to records and attending live music festivals; being with her family and pets; eating at ethnic food restaurants; and observing God's creation.
Mrs. Takano and is married to husband Glenn and has 2 children. She holds certifications in ultrasound, cardiac cath, Holter Mointees, and a teaching degree. Mrs. Takano spent 12 years with CCS and took several off, but we welcomed her back in 2017. Mrs. Takano served with the US Army for 23 years and spent 13 years living in Hawaii. Other places she has lived include San Antonio, Texas; San Diego, Calif,; Oklahoma, Alabama, and Colorado. Mrs. Takano loves to travel and visit with her grandchildren in Seattle, Washington.
Mrs. Taylor is married to G. P. Taylor and they have 5 fur-babies to care for. After graduating from Colonel Richardson High School, Mrs. Taylor went on to college where she received a B.S. in Christian Elementary Education. She came to CCS in 2012 after having taught for several years at Wesleyan Christian School. Mrs. Taylor enjoys singing, reading, scrap-booking and is a self-proclaimed movie fanatic. Recently she has found her lost passion for drawing and painting.
